Compatibility of SONY Bravia LCD LED TV with Hard Disk Drive

Dear Friends,
Todays is the world of technology. Sometimes, small things irritate us when we do not get what we expect from the technological devices. As our requirement for storage memory for storing our photographs, videos etc. has increased, the devices/ options with ever increasing storage capacity are increasing in the market. Now, we have external Hard Disk Drives of different companies / brands having storage capacity of 1000 GB !
The SONY company is very particular with the devices which are attached to it as inputs for various purposes. You have bulk of your photographs and videos stored on your HDD and want to view / enjoy it on your Sony TV (like Sony Bravia LCD / LED). You will surprisingly find that not all HDDs are compatible with Sony TV. I encountered this problem when I wanted to play on my Sony Bravia LED the photographs and videos stored on my Seagate Hard Disk Drives by attaching the same to my Sony tv.
My Sony bravia LED TV was playing pen drives, sony camera but was not playing Seagate external Hard disk Drive (HDD) and thus I was not able to view and enjoy photographs  on my Sony LED which were stored in the HDD.
I found out that the solution is very simple. It is as under :
1.       Format the HDD. (CAUTION : Before formatting the HDD, do not forget to copy the entire data/files/photographs/videos etc to some safe place because formatting will erase all these  from the HDD).
For formatting, connect the HDD to your computer/laptop. Click ‘My Computer’. Right Click on the icon of this HDD (Expansion drive).  A window will open up wherein “format” is one of the options. Click on ‘format’.
2.       Under the option “File System”, change the setting from ‘NTFS’ to ‘exFAT’ and click ‘Start’.
3.        The HDD gets formatted instantly and is now in ‘exFAT’ format.
4.       Paste back all your data/files/photographs/videos etc to your HDD.
5.       Now attach this HDD (which is now in ‘exFAT’ format) to your Sony Bravia LED.
6.       Enjoy the photographs/videos etc which are stored on your HDD, on your Sony Bravia LED TV.

I hope most of you will find this solution very useful and effective.
